Poona College Participates in Pune Book Festival 2024

The
Department of Library and Information Science at Poona College enthusiastically
participated in the Pune Book Festival 2024, a grand literary and cultural
extravaganza. Jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, National Book
Trust (NBT), and Savitribai Phule Pune University, this spectacular event aimed
to promote reading habits and foster a love for books among the masses.
The
festival featured over 600 stalls showcasing books in Indian languages, the
launch of more than 80 new titles, and engaging literary sessions, workshops,
and interactive programs. The event drew an overwhelming response from Poona
College, with over 1000 staff and students attending the festival.
Visitors
spent hours browsing through books on diverse subjects and themes, purchasing
titles that piqued their interest. The electrifying atmosphere introduced them
to new literary masterpieces and provided opportunities to meet authors and
engage in meaningful interactions.
This
enriching experience reinforced Poona College's commitment to promoting
literacy, fostering a culture of reading, and nurturing a community of lifelong
learners.
