READING INSPIRATION DAY - CELEBRATION OF THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF

DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM

A ‘Reading Inspiration Day’ on the eve of the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was jointly organized by the Department of Library and Information Science and Junior College on 15^th October 2018 at 3:30 P.M. Mr. Aga (Vice-Principal, Arts Junior College) explained the importance of ‘Reading Inspiration Day’. Dr. Muhammad Zuber (Librarian) urged the students about why reading is essential and brief about the Poona College library. Mr. Khan Moinuddin Falahi (Vice-Principal, Arts Senior College) motivated the students to excel in their careers and advised the students that without reading a book no one can acquire knowledge.   Among the other notable dignitaries Mr. Shaikh Iqbal (Vice-Principal, Science), Dr. Tariq Iman (Vice-Chairman, Library Advisory Committee), Mrs. Naseem, Mrs. Lubna were present. At the end of the programme, a short documentary film based on the life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was shown to the students and lastly, a tribute was paid by the students and staff of Poona College by reading and signing a banner bearing the famous quotations of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
