The Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh inaugurated the
exhibition in the presence of the Vice-Principal and IQAC Coordinator Dr.
Shaikh Iqbal along with staff and students of the college. Through his video
message he urged the staff and students to develop reading habits and spare
time daily since the library has plenty of books on varied subjects. He also
mentioned that reading is the food for the soul, it develops personality,
enhances creativity, imagination power, and increases knowledge. In the same
video the director of the Knowledge Resource Centre Dr. Muhammad Zuber informed
the readers about the books available in the library on various subjects such
as encyclopedias, dictionaries, history of the world, books on space and
technology, biographies, fiction, and many more. He also informed that the
library organizes book exhibitions on regular intervals to create awareness and
acquaintance with the special collections library has.
The exhibition was well-organized and had a wide variety of
books on display. The readers were very enthusiastic about the programme and
many of them availed the opportunity to get free books. The programme helped to
promote reading habits among the readers and create awareness about the special
collections of the library.
The book exhibition cum free distribution of books programme
was a successful event that was well-organized, attended by more than 300
readers and received a positive response.
